Alimony, Domestic Partners

My fiancé of 9 years left me. We have been living together since 2011 and we are registered domestic partners with the Broward County Ordinance 1999-18 since 2013. Can he legally help me out financially to start a life without him since I do not have any money saved up for this blindsided situation? Do I have any legal rights as a registered domestic partner?

Registered domestic partners will now be recognized as of the Supreme Court decision in 2015. If your partner has the ability and you have the need, then alimony may be given. It is undetermined if the court will recognize your marriage as valid for the whole 9 years or from 2015 on. Your legal rights will depend on that decision.
