Injunction Violations

by | Jan 6, 2020 | Firm News, Florida Family Law

I have an injunction on my ex-fiancé for domestic violence and fleeing with our daughters. The injunction covers both myself and our infant daughters. I’m wondering if I’m able to contact (particularly through Facebook or social media) anyone in his family. I don’t want to violate my injunction in any way since it may allow him be able to see our daughters unsupervised. I’m very worried he might take off with my babies again if given the chance. Am I violating my injunction as the petitioner if I’m in contact with the respondent’s family in anyway?

An injunction, once granted, must be modified through a court hearing before a Circuit Court Judge. Even if amicable at this point, communication should be channeled through the court or lawyer to ensure that neither party gets in trouble for breaking the injunction that is in place. Speak with a professional lawyer like Mark E. Sawicki, P.A. to fully understand the situation.
